Our Mission

In accordance with our Unitarian Universalist principles, our mission is to promote religious and spiritual exploration in an accepting, nurturing , and spiritual exploration and fun environment. In this way, we seek to help people in the church community pursue their personal development and live their faith as active citizens of the larger community.

A Letter from our D.R.E.

Welcome to this church. Welcome to this special place, where everyone’s beliefs, life stories, gifts, and talents are honored and upheld together under the big umbrella of Unitarian Universalism. The “UU’s,” as you’ve no doubt heard us calling ourselves, are very proud of our history and of what we call our Living Tradition, which continues to grow and evolve every time a person like you walks through our doors.

Here at UUCLR, we are living into a model of personal and communal exploration called Lifespan Faith DevelopmentThis is a fancy way of expressing our commitment to growing healthy bodies, minds, and spirits as we pass through all of life's phases and stages, from early childhood to "experienced" adult-hood. It also means that whatever you encounter on your faith journey is important to our experience of walking the path together. So, you will see opportunities for religious education for all ages, not just the youngest of our community. These pages will tell you a little bit about what we do here and how you and your family will fit right in.

May we all be peaceful and happy,

John Willis
Dir. of Religious Education
