Early Learners are Chalice Children!
(Age 3 by 10/01/06 and 4 year-olds)

Chalice Children is designed to nurture young children’s spiritual growth, creativity and connection to their Unitarian Universalist community through rhymes, games, finger-plays, stories and activities. It introduces children to concepts such as birth and death, dreams and the natural world.

RE Leaders: Susan Chambers and DeAnn Shields-Marley

Identifying as Unitarian Universalists

A child's religion develops slowly, all day every day. By religion we mean feelings and thoughts about ourselves, our families, our friends and whatever else in the world of nature and society have impact on us...A child's spiritual development is not the development of one part of him or her, separate from every other part; it is the development of the whole person. Natural religious development is found in the kinds of experiences that actually awaken wonder, that represent the thrill of a first discovery, that cause questioning and the beginning of philosophizing.
