Children and Youth RE

Children's Chapel: Held one Sunday a month for school aged children at 10:00am in the Barnum room. We have check-in and sing songs.  Next Chapel is February 21st.

Do-Re-Mi UU Principles (to the tune of Do-Re-Mi)

     One: Each person is worthwhile.

Two: Be kind in all you do.

Three: We help each other learn.

Four: And search for what is true.

Five: All people have a say.

Six: Work for a peaceful world.

Seven: The web of life's the way,

That will bring us back to me and U.U.

CAYRE (Sunday School Classes) are held downstairs from 10:00am - 12:00pm for the following ages:

PreK4-1st grade, 2nd -4th grade, 5th - 7th grade, and 8th-12th grade.

Childcare for children under the age of 4 is provided in the nursery between 9:45am -12:15pm every Sunday.

Our Unitarian Universalist Principles
(Children's Version)

  • Each and every person is important.

  • All people should be treated fairly.

  • Our churches are places where all people are accepted and where we keep on learning together.

  • Each person must be free to search for what is true and right in life.

  • Everyone should have a vote about things that concern them.

  • We believe in working for a peaceful, fair and free world.

  • We believe in the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.

CAYRE Registration is Required
We want to make sure that your child is safe and his/her needs are met in our program. It is very important that each family complete a registration form and a permission slip. We must know if your child has any allergies or other physical concerns that we should know about. You know your children best. Please, also, share with us any tips for making them feel at home and meeting any other needs. The form also has a space for you to note your volunteer preferences. Please check out "We Work Together" to find out more about sharing the responsibilities for religious education.

We need to hear from parents.
We rely heavily on the feedback from you that we get at the end of the year for guidance in planning for the next year. Please don't wait until then to tell us what your children's experiences are in our programming. We do our best to meet the religious and developmental needs of all our children and youth. From time to time that is impossible but we always keep your concerns  in mind as we make decisions.   Please feel free to call or e-mail either the co-chairs of the Religious Education Committee or the DRE at any time with your ideas, questions and concerns.
