Young Adults Group

Who We Are and What We Do

We are the Unitarian Universalist Church of Little Rock’s Young Adult Community. Presently 20 members strong, our group began in October of 2002.

Connected by strong friendships and a common purpose, we strive to foster an atmosphere where UU principles may be learned and practiced and to support each other in our ongoing spiritual and personal evolution.

Our regularly scheduled group activities presently include a check-in during coffee hour each Sunday to touch base and visit with other members, a weekly Sunday lunch gathering which predictably and reliably involves good conversation as well as food, a monthly organizational meeting, and a monthly movie night and discussion hosted by a group member. Other notable things our group does or has done include presenting a Soulful Sundown service every month, having a Backwoods Jamboree and Campout in the Ouachita National Forest, visiting the Ecumenical Buddhist Society of Little Rock, having a workshop and presenting a church service with Michael Tino (UUA Director of Young Adult and Campus Ministry), leading one or two UUCLR services a year, providing and serving dinners at the Our House homeless shelter, and participating in UUCLR's Halloween Carnival.

For more information about our Young Adult Community, please contact us.  We'd like to hear from you!

Young Adult Community Mission Statement

The mission of the Young Adult Community at UUCLR is to promote and sustain a community of Young Adults with a common purpose, to foster an atmosphere where Unitarian Universalist principles may be learned and practiced. As members of this community, we will aspire to act from a place of personal balance and compassion so that our actions will benefit the whole as well as the individual. Knowing that all seek love and happiness, we will strive to support each other in our ongoing spiritual and personal evolution.
