Nursery/Childcare
Our dedicated nursery staff provide a nurturing, safe environment for our youngest explorers each Sunday during religious education classes and the 11am service.
The nursery is located in the Religious Education building. If you are a newcomer, please enter the church through the main entrance and a friendly greeter will show you the way. The nursery opens for drop-off at 9:45 A.M. Children should be picked up by 12:15. Nursery care is available for children ages birth to kindergarten.
Children ages 5+ are encouraged to sit with their grown-ups for the first 15 minutes of the 11am service. This allows them to feel the rhythm of church – reciting the affirmation of covenant, singing an opening hymn, and hearing special announcements. After the Time All Together (children’s story), the kids are given the opportunity to leave the service with our RE team to enjoy nature play outside in our woodlands. Indoor activities are available on bad weather days and for children who prefer inside quiet play.
Our RE Team provides childcare for children of any age during other church activities as well. This includes all-church potluck meals, fellowship events, and special congregational meetings. Once a month, member families are welcome to participate in “Parent’s Night Out!” which provides free childcare for three hours on a Saturday evening. Parents are free to have a night out, or join in the ReConnections game night which gathers at the church for a snack potluck and a good time.
All members of our RE Team, including nursery staff and volunteers, are fully vetted each year. This includes a background check, safe-guard training, and emergency response training.
