Step-by-Step for Contributions in Breeze

UUCLR has moved to Breeze for online giving. While Breeze is easy to use, there have been a few glitches as people learn the new system. The most common is making a “Non-pledge Contribution” instead of a pledge payment.

To make an online contribution, log into uuclr.org and select “Giving”. You will see two buttons: an orange one and a blue one. The orange button is for making your annual pledge and will only be used once a year during the pledge drive. The blue payment button is the one you want.

After selecting it, you will see the Breeze menu. First, input how much you are giving. This can be a one time or a recurring contribution. If it is recurring, do put in how much you want to give each time, whether that be monthly, weekly, four times a year, or some other choice. For example, if you want to give $1200 per year as $100/month, you will enter $100.

Next is the fund to which you are directing the donation. If this is your pledge payment, use the small triangle on the right to pull down to “Give to 2025-26 pledge”. You can also select 2^nd Sunday or 5^th Sunday or any other fund listed.

On the next line, you will see “Give this one time”. If this is a recurring contribution, click the small black triangle on the right to select the interval at which you want your contribution to happen: monthly, weekly, etc.

A new line will appear right next to the frequency of donation that lets you pick when this contribution will occur each interval. You will see a list of dates.  Pick when you want the transaction to occur.  Going forward, this sets the day for the next intervals.

You are almost done.  Next you will select either “Give by Credit/Debit Card” or “Give by ACH Bank Transfer”. If you pick credit card, you will be instructed to enter that information. If you pick bank transfer, you enter your bank information. If you chose bank transfer, please select a day in the first half of the month. This makes reconciliation with the bank statement easier.

That’s almost it. There will be a small notice that asks you to contribute the payment processing fees.  For credit cards, it is $.45 plus about 3%. For bank transfers, it is about $.45. UUCLR gets only the non-fee amount but you get credit for the donation plus all the fees for tax deduction purposes.

Edit/Update a Recurring Transaction

If you know how to log into Breeze and you want to UPDATE a recurring transaction, start with this link:  https://uuclr.breezechms.com/give/recurring. Clicking this link brings up the Breeze login screen, and then you are taken to “Manage Recurring Giving.” Next to the desired recurring payment description, select “Change,” then select “Show More Options,” then use the dropdown menu next to the “Fund” field to select your desired option. Be sure to save your changes.
