School Food Pantry Program
For over a decade, our church has served the families and students of Stephens Elementary School. In August of 2025, the UUCLR Food Pantry moved its location to serve the families of McDermott Elementary, our neighborhood’s Community School, in a similar fashion with Friday distribution days.
With the support of the Arkansas FoodBank, food is ordered, picked up and distributed by our teams every Friday during the school year. We have received some grants to continue this program, and will continue as long as it is financially possible to do so. We rely on donations from our church community to continue support of this program. The pantry is completely operated by volunteers who dedicate their time on Thursdays and Fridays each week.
If you are interested in supporting the Pantry, you may donate HERE or contact the office at uuclr@uuclr.org
Our House
We have supported Our House, a homeless shelter, for many years. Our team of faithful supporters serve a dinner every month for the residents. This effort is very rewarding and the people we serve are appreciative.
Our House Resources
The Van
A small team of dedicated people meet to sort donated clothing for The Van, a volunteer run organization that provides support to the homeless.
